Leading the next wave of coffee innovation, our Austin team is working on a fully autonomous Costa Coffee experience, with robotics, engineering, data analytics, and a digital consumer-first journey at the heart, this team is redefining the future of how we buy and consume coffee across the globe.
Keeping the business brewing
Behind every barista. Empowering every manager. Our Support Centres are the backbone of the business, providing key functions such as Marketing, Sales and Finance for our teams worldwide.
The nerve centre of our Retail business is Central Operations. This team builds our capability by simplifying the way we work and increasing efficiency. The four main teams are Operations Planning; Operations SME; Operations Excellence; and Brand Excellence. No Central Operations. No successful store network.
Costa Coffee's Contact Centre is based in Loudwater, Bucks.
In Loudwater, the team keep the coffee flowing from our Costa Express machines, up and down the land. Every day, they deal with clients nationwide, helping them keep customers’ cups brim-full of delight. It’s fun, fast-paced and almost as buzzy as a double Espresso shot.
You'll also find our Customer Services Contact Centre, dealing with issues, questions and complaints. The team also handles registrations for our digital app and any Club Card queries. It's a busy 7/7 operation where you need the energy to deal with different people every day. But, it’s all worthwhile when you pass on valuable feedback to the team or make a customer's day.
Who keeps our state-of-the-art Express machines brewing brilliant blends? Our team of expert Field Service Engineers. They install and repair equipment, improve reliability and diagnose and resolve faults. Result? Smooth-running machines and more cups of joy.
Joining our Finance team puts you at the heart of the action at Costa Coffee. You’ll work with colleagues from international markets, including those from Coca-Cola. As the business evolves, you’ll experience transformation, while getting a global view of operations. And, with sales revenues increasing two-fold, you’ll be dealing with growth in double digits. Speaking of growth, there’ll be every opportunity to cultivate a career. Roles across Finance Shared Services come with financial support for studies.
All over the world, Marketing speaks to coffee lovers on a local and global scale. With consistent, attractive messaging, the team boosts brand awareness, demand and market share. Interested in commercial marketing, branding or product innovation? Our Marketing function does the lot – across Retail, Digital, FMCG and through a host of partnerships.
Imagine helping to set the future direction for the UK & I Costa Coffee business. Providing analysis and recommendations. Crafting strategic and business plans. That’s the job of our Partners and Strategy team, which also looks at new proposition projects, business issues, competitive dynamics and market development. Like the sound of that? Our Basildon Roastery is where the magic happens, producing 45,000 tonnes of Mocha Italia per year. Running the show is a skilled team, from Master Roasters to Warehouse professionals – and there’s always room for talent. We also have partnerships with a number of independent roasteries, all around the world. Could you oversee the quality of their coffee with the help of our Basildon experts?
As Costa Coffee continues to grow, so does our Sales team. Stores, Express machines, Ready to Drink products – Sales drives the success of all of them. Across the business, there are Account Managers, Partnership experts, and Market Leads, searching out new business and strengthening relationships to help us perform at our best. FMCG is the fastest growing area of the Costa business and a key part of our ambitious international growth plans. Our portfolio caters for a wide of coffee needs and includes Beans, Roast & Ground, Pods, Premium Instant and a variety of Ready to Drink variants. We work with cross functional global and local teams across Costa and The Coca Cola Company to create leading edge portfolio strategies, breakthrough innovation and disruptive communications.
Coffee goes digital
Our coffee blend might not have changed since 1971, but our business certainly has. Today, we need Developers, Data Architects, Analysts and Programme Managers to build digital services, sites and apps.
In the heart of London, you’ll find our Digital Hub. Here, Digital Product and IT Teams work on projects for our website, app and digital loyalty programme.
The Mobile Team builds all kinds of apps for our business around the world. Think in-app games, loyalty products, site finders, vouchers, instant win campaigns and online ordering at Express Machines and stores.
The Web Team manages our website and keeps it up-to-date. Brand information, contact forms, site finders, menu and nutritional information – this team is on top of the lot.
Sofia is our latest and most exciting tech site, helping Costa Coffee to develop in markets worldwide. From Austria to India, we’re growing with the support of this Bulgaria-based team. During a 2 year rotational programme you’ll get to experience and make your mark across a number of Supply Chain functions. From Production to Procurement, Strategy and beyond.
Working within our Finance Function you’ll be part of a 3 year rotational programme, where you complete your Finance qualifications, alongside working with experts to build and grow your knowledge and skills.
